This week........

Isaac has been in a mood this week. I have been sick this week. Then i get up this morning to make breakfast to the realization that our four year old fridge is dying. I taste the cheddar cheese as always and it tastes sour so i feel the bag and it is room temp after only 2 minutes out soI go investigating check the milk to realize 3 day old milk is already turning sour really!!! this really is not my week. I guess we need to add visit a fridge store to our already crazy day!

Love of thrifting

You know it is a family addiction when your five year old is upset that the family did not go thrifting on Monday night. I love spending time with my boys and finding deals at the same time. Looks like Isaac has caught the thrifing bug too.

Family Game Night

Last weekend we went to our friends house to spend some family time. The Mommies went out to our favorite place the thrift stores . When we returned two and a half hours later we found our two husband playing risk with the three oldest children. The game says ages 10 to adult but our 5,6,and 7 year old children did not have a very hard time grasping the concept with the help of their Daddies.
Playing with your children is always worth the investment.

Spring cleaning

This past weekend my husband and I had a whole weekend with Isaac away so how did we spend this time....spring cleaning of course. We are having a yard sale in June and we figured this would be the best time to get all the unwanted and unneeded items together. We removed all these Items as well as two pieces of furniture which already have new homes.

Special

Don't you love it when you wake up to the feeling of two little eyes staring a hole through you?

That is how I was awoke this beautiful late April morning. I asked Isaac why he was staring and he said "I love you Mom!" So I asked him another question to see what aswer he would come up with. I asked so what is so special about me ? He smiled his big Isaac grin and said "The Mama part of course.
His sweetness amazing to me.

I hate headaches

Over the last week I have head killer headaches almost everyday. I hope and pray they get better soon so I can function. I feel so bad that I can not be the mother I want to be to my amazing son.

No Laundry

Isaac over heard me on the phone with a friend saying that I had hurt my shoulder and thus would not being laundry that day. He looked at me when I was done on the phone and asked me how to spell laundry. When I turned around this is what I found.

Isaac is such a sweetheart who loves to take care of his Mommy!

The Love of Learning

One of the many things I love about Home Schooling is that we can have school anywhere and at any time.

Great deal at Walgreens

Yesterday Andy went to Walgreens to get pop and came home spending $2.31 for four 2 liters of Dr Pepper and 24 walgreens brand carmel filled eggs( They are favorite of a friend of ours.). I was so excited when he told me of his great deal. Each egg was $.12 and the Dr pepper was on sale as well. Not to mention we had a $8 coupon off $8 spent at Walgreens. God is so good and I am so thankful for all the deals we find.

Knowing is half the battle

I love when you go to the thrift store and find toys still in the package. What makes it even better is if it is something your husband was watching intently for the price to drop drastically.It is so wonderful when you can find this toy originally marked $60 for $15 containing 7 G I Joes 3 vehicles and many weapons.Isaac squealed with delight when saw his Daddy walk to the car with this wonderful treasure.

Family Fun Time

We love going to the thrift stores "treasure hunting". We found many wonderful treasures this trip.
Don't Break the Ice, Ants in the Pants,Cootie,Hungry Hungry Hippos, Risk, Skipbo Deluxe, and a beautiful wooden chess set all for, $2.60 at our favorite toy store Goodwill backroom. It is so fun finding all these games for way less than we would pay for one at Target.

walking

I am so glad that that it is getting warm out! All summer long we love to walk and talk. Today it was so neat to get to see God's nature and to hear his beautiful birds tweet. God's nature is so amazing.

A few of my favorite things

This picture was taken a few years ago , and it is one of my favorite photos of Isaac. This is also a good picture of two Isaac favorite things. The blanket was my blanket that I used to cover him when he was in his car seat as baby. Oviously he is very attached to it. He still sleeps with it every night lol. He also loves cats , big little all cats and this is his beloved butterscotch kitty.

Time flies! Isaac seems to be growing up so fast, glad I have scrapbooks and blogs to look back on memories of him .

Scared

Why is that a child that typically walks like an elephant can still sneak up on you and scare you so bad you jump and almost hit the ceiling? saac was working on school so I went down stairs to switch laundry. All a sudden Isaac is standing in front of me. "Mommy I am done "he proclaims. I jumped and he could not keep from laughing as he hugged me and says "Mommy I have never scared you before."

Night Crawlers

When we were in New York for a week, Isaac had a chance to spend some time with his Uncle Teddy. They had so much fun and Teddy taught him some new things. Here they are after playing one of those games called night crawlers.

Egg Hunt

We had an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Isaac had so much fun doing it. It might have been that he had 56 eggs to find. Each egg had a prize, money or candy in it. Daddy had a lot of fun watching Isaac find or not find the eggs if you can not tell.

Learning is Puzzling

Isaac loves doing puzzles. As he was doing a puzzle of the United States he kept asking me questions. It is so exciting for me to see him thirsting for knowledge. I am so thankful to be able to home school Isaac.

Every year The Awana club that Isaac is involved in has a race. Isaac took first place for his age group last year.This year Isaac was near last. I was waiting for it, I was expecting he would be throwing a fit because he wanted another trophy. Isaac showed me Mommy was wrong.... He was just excited to get to race. I love seeing him grow up everyday.

It seems the days go by so fast. I need to remember to cherish each memory.
